The database that is used to store all the data of the system is PostgreSQL, taking advantage of its features for structured data storage and relationships. As a relational database, PostgreSQL organizes data into tables with clearly defined relationships, allowing for efficient management of entities such as customer purchases, coffee types, and transaction histories. Its support for foreign keys, joins, and normalization ensures data integrity and consistency across the application.
